THE RESULTS

CRIME LOOP
by Barbara McCormick-Thomas

“Crime Loop” showcases a fantastic balance of drama with delightfully irreverent comedy. The script has a clear story arc and ending, which is quite challenging to accomplish in just three pages, and the writer beautifully executed the parameters of the challenge. It was a fun read, and I can’t wait to see more from this writer!

ABOUT THE FEATURED JUDGE

Alison Becker is a writer, actor, producer, and director. She is currently the Head Writer on Steven Spielberg’s Tiny Toons reboot for Warner Brothers Animation. GirlWorld, the feature script she co-wrote with GLOW’s Kimmy Gatewood, was bought by Amazon Studios, and she has another comedy feature in development with Paul Feig’s PowderKeg. Becker wrote and starred in the short film, Control, and directed and produced a music video called A$ Level, both of which did very well on the festival circuit, winning several awards. Also known for her acting, Becker played Shauna Malwae-Tweep, the longest running guest star on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, and she has appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm, New Girl, Law and Order, Murderville, and some of the most viewed internet comedy sketches of all time. She graduated from Georgetown University, cum laude, and was accepted into the high IQ society, Mensa. She lives in Los Angeles with her partner, and she loves your dog.
